AGENTS OF CHAOS

Experience the Sound

When did you start DJing?

- I actually just started DJing this year (2025) - but have been producing and playing music for over 20 years. I started my music journey when I was a teenager playing in metal bands as a drummer, then got into producing around the age of 19. I had many projects and made different styles of music throughout my 20’s - then ultimately decided I wanted to start producing techno in 2020. I never really desired to be a DJ - but I always knew I wanted to create music and have it as a professional career. It just so happens that the predominant modality of performing techno live is - DJing, so here we are.

What track changed everything for you? / What’s your biggest source of inspiration? (The one that made you say “this is it.”)

- That’s a tough one to answer because I enjoy so many different types of music that inspire me in different ways. But specifically with techno music I remember seeing Stephan Bodzin’s Cercle set on YouTube back in 2019. He’s performing on top of a mountain where they filmed a James Bond scene - I remember thinking “this is so f****** cool - I wanna make something like this.” So I would say Stephan Bodzin was the motivator for me wanting to start producing techno - specifically his track “Singularity”.

Describe your sound in 3 words (No pressure.)

- Dark. Cinematic. Techno.

One artist who’s always in your sets?

- I’ve always enjoyed the artists who generally only play music that they produced (Stephan Bodzin, Boris Brejcha) - for me this is truly special - because you’re going to see the artist specifically for them and their music. I will be aiming to do the same with my project. Although I might sneak in a few artists I enjoy here and there.

What’s your go-to outfit for a show? (Details, please.)

- Track pants, running shoes, t-shirt, hat - all in black.

Do you dress to blend in or stand out? (And why?)

- I would say more to blend in.. my project is designed to be more about the music and the visuals than me personally. A minimal aesthetic is all I really care about. Nothing too flashy.

What’s one non-negotiable before you hit the stage? (A ritual, a snack, a moment?)

- Some deep breaths to calm the nerves - and sometimes a shot of Whiskey.

What inspires your style off-stage?(Street, vintage, trends, whatever.)

- I workout a lot so I am usually in some type of athletic clothes - running shorts, track pants, tshirts/hoodies. I like being comfortable - whenever I put on jeans now Im like “these suck” haha.

What do you wish more people understood about being a DJ? (Give us the real talk.)

- Honestly I don’t resonate too much with being a “DJ” - but I guess I would say that I hope people generally recognize the difference between a true “DJ” and an artist who is up there just performing his or her music. I see and hear a lot of shit talk about “ Oh they’re not a real DJ blah blah” - In my opinion they are entirely two separate things - 1. A true “DJ” who has mastered the art of DJing - doing complex transitions, mashups, reading the crowd etc. vs. 2. Artists who mainly produce music and just use “DJing” as the way to play it live for people. Of course there is some crossover between the two, but generally I don’t think there’s much of a need to really care..  just enjoy the music (hopefully it’s good :P)

If your sound had a color, what would it be?(And why?)

- Black, for sure. I am a huge metal-head and have always loved dark, aggressive music. I am also fascinated with the universe and the ‘unknowns’ of our reality - something about the vast size and darkness of it all is horrifying yet beautiful. I try to incorporate this blend of dark yet beautiful into most of my tracks.
