When did you start DJing?

I was 15 when I started making dance tunes with a DAW

What track, moment, or influence changed everything for you? / What’s your biggest source of inspiration? (The one that made you say “this is it.”)

I was driving down the 111 freeway in Palm Springs with my brother and he put on the cross album from Justice. I immediately fell in love! But the moment was when I heard the intro on the track “Stress”. The driving strings laced with darkness and intensity went all through my body. It was euphoric! Hooked since that moment

Describe your sound or artistic style in 3 words.

Rapturous. Wistful. Human.

What’s your go-to outfit for a show? (Details, please.)

Pants and something to cover the top part. Comfy shoes are a must! High socks usually. The hair does what it wants.

Do you dress to blend in or stand out? (And why?)

I dress to feel good, first and foremost. Sometimes that means blending in, sometimes standing out. At shows, I wear louder clothes than at home. I live in shorts and a tee at home unless its content time.

What’s one non-negotiable before you hit the stage? (A ritual, a snack, a moment?)

I must always shake it out. I always get some jitters before shows so I need to shake my body around to release that anxiousness.

One or two artist who are always in your sets or you always come back to for inspiration.

Purple Disco Machine usually always makes it into the set at some point. For inspiration, I can always count on Earth, Wind, & Fire or Prince.

What inspires your style off-stage?(Street, vintage, trends, whatever.)

My hobbies and culture are my biggest influences when it comes to clothing. I love mountain biking and video games as well as my Mexican culture. I love Native American culture as well, so most of my clothes is related to that.

What do you wish more people understood about being a DJ? (Give us the real talk.)

People understand that electronic music artists enjoy an array of genres, but I wish people would understand we also want to make/release an array of genres
