When did you start DJing?
Around 2009 towards the end of high school
What track, moment, or influence changed everything for you? / What’s your biggest source of inspiration? (The one that made you say “this is it.”)
"Tough Break" was a track that reached a lot more people than i could have imagined. Was very cool to see an original song get so much support from artists i always looked up to.
Describe your sound or artistic style in 3 words.
Bouncy Tech Bass
What’s your go-to outfit for a show? (Details, please.)
Slim fit black jeans and a unique graphic tee. I usually like to match with some subtle color in my sneakers. This lead me to own a lot of Nike Dunks over time.
Do you dress to blend in or stand out? (And why?)
A little of both! Always been a fan of skate culture and the way you could dress super casual without compromising originality.
What’s one non-negotiable before you hit the stage? (A ritual, a snack, a moment?)
A good breakfast the morning of a show and maybe a beer right before hitting the stage (for the nerves).
One or two artist who are always in your sets or you always come back to for inspiration.
Chris Lorenzo, Hijack
What inspires your style off-stage?(Street, vintage, trends, whatever.)
Always been a fan of streetwear and brutalist design. They mesh really well together especially combined with some influence from modern/future technology.
What do you wish more people understood about being a DJ? (Give us the real talk.)
It's more about creativity & uniqeness than anything. It's easy to get caught up in comparison with other artists, but being true to yourself and keeping that originality is key. Make music for yourself first and the audience will catch on.
If your sound had a color, what would it be?(And why?)
Dark Green - Somehwat of a grungy vibe with just enough vibrancy to stand out a little.
What do you represent?
Unfiltered good times. Music is so subjective and i live for those stand-out, weirdo sounds that bring people from all walks of life together.
